Rumours, Lies And Media Rape review
http://www.vintagestars.com/river/Reviews/Bootlegs/ReviewsFanBootlegsRumors.html
“Rumors, Lies And Media Rape” is one of the absolute best Hole bootlegs out there. It has alot of rarities. Actually I think it’s the one official bootleg with the most rarities on it. A big “must have” for any Hole bootleg collector.
There’s the original version of the song “Rock Star” that was supposed to be the last track on ‘Live Through This’, but was replaced by “Olympia” (the song that’s NOW known as “Rock Star”) in the last minute. And there are alot of live covers such as “You’ve Got No Right”, “Pennyroyal Tea” (although Courtney co-wrote this one), “Unsatisfied”, “She’s Lost Control” and “Skinhead Girl”.
It doesn’t have as many “golden moments” live-comment-wise since there’s not as much in-between-songs-Courtney-talk as in most live show bootlegs, but the whole bootleg itself is a true gem. If you have this one, and the album ‘My Body, The Hand Grenade’, then you have about 90 – 95% of all old Hole rarities.

Courtney Love: “I want some… Starts out like magic, some sick religion. That ain’t no vulture, that’s a fucking pigeon. She’s got vultures in her hair. And blood and feathers; they are everywhere. You want a treat? They’ll be deep. Dead mound, drunken sleep…I want it now, she said.”
Why are you a courtney love fan?

thewaymouth [aka mikedreams] comment, Jan 19 2013, 10:54 PM [edited 2013-02-02]
I bought the first album when it came out and from right then her songs screamed at me on the inside of my burning soul.
Kurt’s later suicide hit me hard. To think that then a band member died two months later. Courtney raising hell up like a fucking Phoenix from the still burning ashes linked my heart with her forever.
I saw Hole as the penultimate act on Lollapalooza 1995, one of the most magnificent shows of my nightlife. Certainly the most moving performance ever. Throughout Love was so badass brilliant.
Hole, 1991 – 1995, is up there with any band/artist at their best, ever.
Courtney at the top of her game, is the best front-woman/singer/artist of all time, as good if not better than any man.
That her art is generally so underappreciated, just makes me love Love more.
Hole…
Greatest bitchin band ever.
To my fellow Zombies, to my fellow members of the Hole In The Wall Gang everywhere, thanks always for sharing the Love, and thanks all ways for digging the Hole.
“We few, we happy few, we band of sisters.”
Happy ZX.
“There can be only one!”
