Rocket From The Crypt always had a bit of an experimental edge to them, but they could never show it off on their full-lengths -too “arty” for their label or because it doesn’t have that mainstream sound? Who knows? But to show that RFTC are hip with the audience that was there first, they still release that occasional indie single. With “Burnt Mouth Off Liar”/ “UFO UFO UFO” being the first release after their All Systems Go! comp. -which includes all their previous hard to find 7 inches of wax- RFTC are still doing it for the kids and not completely selling over to the MTV audience. Not as good as their “Pidegon Eater”/ “The Paste You Love” single, but it comes pretty close.
