Album info

“I don’t really value my history very highly,” Ron House once said. “I don’t want to be reduced to trivia. The music I love is living and it’s still going forward.”

These days it’s going forward with Psandwich, a psychedelic supergroup of sorts. John Olexovitch of the Lindsay and Brett Burleson, a jazz guitarist who teaches at Capital University, provide a dual guitar assault. Bassist Bobby Silver plays in Brainbow and is currently touring with rapper Blueprint. Drummer Zac Szymusiak’s resume includes the Dolby Fuckers, Everyday Heroes and the Washington Beach Bums.

Northren Psych is the debut LP from Psandwitch. Northren Psych reveals two sides of Psandwich: tight songs full of punk-fueled fury and sprawling, riff-heavy stoner jams, all with House’s clever lyrics intact.

House sums up his creative process this way: “Drink beer, smoke pot and create something that will storm heaven. That’s all I really ever cared about.”
