Merzmorphosis is a box set album by the Japanese noise musician Merzbow, it is composed of previously unreleased recordings from 1995–97.
The set is a sequel to the ten CD box set Merzphysics (also released by the same label). However, Merzmorphosis focuses on “electro-psychedelic noise” from after the introduction of the EMS synthesizer, and is described as having a resonance with techno. Outtakes from Green Wheels, Pulse Demon, and Space Metalizer are included.
As with Merzbient and Merzphysics, some track titles are taken from identification written on the original cassettes or their brands. CD/Jack and HG-S by Denon; and DJ Disc Jack by TDK.
All music is composed by Masami Akita.
