JOE BONAMASSA–Different Songs of Blue X
This is the tenth of a series of Joe Bonamassa collections (the first was Different Songs of Blue) which I intend to post. The first was a collection of 12 of Joe’s “quieter” song performances. The remaining posts are groups of songs without a common theme except that they each are a mixture of songs, band members, and stages of Joe’s career that are not usually found together.
My task was to group them and put them into a set list with an order pleasing to the listener. Since this series began, performances of material new to Joe from his British Blues Explosion Tour has become available. However, it was difficult to find recordings from that tour of the same quality as is available from previous tours. Fortunately the quality of the recordings improved as the tour went on and it is now possible to include these “new” songs albeit with quite a bit of enhancement via Audacity. With the inclusion of these new songs and a few others not previously used, I now have 131 songs to fit on 11 discs. This tenth disc will not be the last as there will be 1 more. I will post the final disc as soon as this post reaches 100 or so downloads.
Enjoy!.

*Various tracks were shortened using CD Wave Editor. Then, Audacity was used to fade in and fade out on certain tracks, to amplify or decrease the volume as needed, and to add silence at the beginning of some tracks. Some tracks were also “equalized” using Audacity to increase the treble and decrease the base, thus “brightening” the sound.
A big thanks go out to the various tapers who captured the shows these tracks came from. You are doing an excellent job. All thirteen of the tracks on this disc are from digital audience recordings, and I would rate each of them A/A+ considering their origins. Of course they won’t all sound exactly the same as they were recorded by different people on different equipment in different venues. I have included 2 samples in the comments which I think are representative of their quality.
Most importantly: The intent of these volumes is to introduce you to Joe Bonamassa’s music or to enhance or renew your appreciation of it. All of Joe’s albums are still available, and hopefully if you don’t have all of them or need new copies, this will encourage you to purchase them. They are available at Joe’s own web site (www.jbonamassa.com) and at Amazon.com.
