Dashboard Confessional – Dusk and Summer

Dusk and Summer is the fourth studio album recorded by the band Dashboard Confessional. It was released on June 27, 2006 on Vagrant Records. It was originally produced by Daniel Lanois (U2, Bob Dylan), but was polished and finished up with Don Gilmore (Linkin Park, Dashboard’s "Vindicated") as producer.

"Don’t Wait" was released as the first single off the album in May 2006.

"So Long, So Long" in particular is a more piano-based song than those that have featured on previous Dashboard Confessional albums or EPs. The song was previously available for download in the summer of 2005 on the band’s website, the version that appears on the album is a new version. A few songs have been compared to Carrabba’s previous band, Further Seems Forever.

All songs on the album were written by the lead singer Chris Carrabba.

On June 29, the album peaked at the number one position in the U.S. iTunes Music Store.
