Ian Dury And The Blockheads – Live ’78 LP

here is the info file from Dime

Ian Dury And The Blockheads – Mega-rare Restored Vinyl “Live ’78” Germany 1978 tour EX AUD – speed-corrected and rejoined – You’ll have a blast listening to it! (mp3 sample included)

Dime’s Contrast Clause and explanation: This material was previously uploaded here in a raw transfer:

http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=313277

That torrent is from Fallsound’s copy of the vinyl. This torrent is from my (Doinker’s) copy of the vinyl. It’s been processed differently, using different equipment, and with speed-correction and pop and click removal.

It’s my belief that even if you have this vinyl, you haven’t heard this show. For one thing, the original transfer ran almost a quarter semitone too fast (probably due to vinyl space limitations). For another, one side of my pressing was seriously off-center. That’s been corrected. The speed matching was done on the turntable using the great reference program “Virtual Keyboard”.

Let’s leave all that aside for a moment and concentrate on one thing only:

->THIS SHOW KICKS ASS!<- It’s MUCH better than the commercial releases.

I did see Ian Dury during this time period while stationed in (West) Germany in the US Air Force. Here Mr. Dury is in rare form, tweaking the audience in mock German. The show is probably from Northern Germany and is probably from the summer months. I could have sworn I had the exact date and location, but (as usual) the folder indicating that has been misplaced. If I find it while this show is still active, I’ll let you know in a thread comment.
