Röyksopp have completed the latest installment of the Late Night Tales mix series, whose curators have included the Flaming Lips, MGMT, Belle & Sebastian, Arctic Monkeys, Air, Four Tet, and more. The 19-song collection includes the new, original Röyksopp track “Daddy’s Groove”, Röyksopp’s cover of Depeche Mode’s “Ice Machine”, plus tracks by XTC, This Mortal Coil, Popul Vuh, and more.
And as is the Late Night Tales custom, the mix closes with a spoken word track. This time, it’s the actor Benedict Cumberbatch (“Sherlock”, Star Trek: Into Darkness) reading the second half of a Simon Cleary story called “Flat of Angles”. (The first part was on the Late Night Tales mix curated by Friendly Fires.)
