Stevie Ray Vaughan – The Soul To Souls Sessions 1985
There is about the debate in the location of the so called Soul To Soul sessions.
Stevie Ray Vaughan was in New York City at the Power Station in January 1984 recording sessions for the Couldn’t Stand The Weather. They worked with John Hammond and Richard Mullen in the Power Station Studio for 19 days in January of that year.
Due to this 1984 Power Station sessions, many have confused Stevie’s session called the Soul To Soul sessions in March 1985 at Dallas Sound Lab in Las Colinas, TX. with his stay in New York City in January 1984. Many bootlegs have released tracks from these sessions mislabeling it as Power Station Sessions in March 1985. Those are incorrect and mislabled. Many of Stevie’s friends have made comments on being in Dallas for these sessions.
To be Clear, the Soul To Soul sessions which 800 minutes of have leaked out to collectors are from the Dallas Sound Lab in Las Colinas, TX from March 1-14. Also to keep in mind, Stevie played documented concerts in Texas during the time people claim he was at the Power Station in NYC.
