Geetarz Comments:

All thanks to the original tapers and seeders!

Organizing my torrent file archives, I found this one and didn’t see it currently on the tracker, alive or dead.

Re-seeded on DIME, July 2009, by Geetarz. Supervision and Moral Support by Cody the Codependent Husky.

It’s pretty much accepted among EC fans that the 1994-1995 “blues” period represents perhaps the highlight of EC’s solo career, at least in terms of consistency. Clapton has tended to be a somewhat of a musical chameleon, but he’s always kept the blues as his touchstone. Even if one goes back to his very first performances, each night can be a different Eric, depending on mood. But with the shows in 1994 and 1995, it’s really difficult to find any one performance that really stands above the rest (and yes, I have tried!). Don’t worry – I have my favorites, but upon overall reflection, they aren’t *that* much above the average for the tour – unlike with some other tours ;)

Here we have an excellent audience recording. This was originally released on the Mid Valley label, and then in 2006 there was an additional reissue/repressing. Curiously, the “new” issue kept the same catalog number (59/60), and only a subtle change in the artwork, with the date of the reissue (2006) printed on the artwork as well as on the CDs themselves. My ears don’t detect any difference in sound quality, and since the catalog numbers did not change, I would suggest that this is merely a new issue of the original release, and not a remaster.

If you’re a Clapton fan and don’t have this, it’s definitely an essential show, although it’s not my favorite of the 94-95 shows.

Casual fans who are not as familiar with the “Blues Tour” may definitely want to check this out.

No artwork scans for this 2006 reissue – if you have some, please send them on. Please DO NOT make any, and if someone “modifies” the scans on my site from the original issue it’s likely that my head will explode and at that point I will be dead and won’t be able to provide you with any more EC, so do so at your own risk!
