I’ve seen this show on some folk’s bootlegs lists on the net. All 90 minutes long. All descended from a listening copy trimmed from the masters (minus Don’t Let Your Deal Go Down/etc. and Moonshiner’s Blues as I remember it). I donĂt remember how I was affiliated with this show to be able to plug in, but I remember seeing the group play in the same hall on 2 June 1981 and was happy for the opportunity to record them. I can’t remember what deck I recorded the show on. Since it was a couple months before I got a Nakamichi 480, I’m guessing it was a deck belonging to the sound company. The masters have been played just four times now. After the show to see how they were. Soon after that when I made the listening copy. In the 1990’s when I first transfered them to digital. Finally, in April 2009 I transferred the tapes to digital from My Nakamichi Dragon thru cryogenic cables to an Olympus LS-10 recording PCM at 24bit/48000hz. This gives me a great transfer. I then mastered the recordings to 16/44100 flac files using SoundForge 9.0. It’s a great show but there are some issues. David did Moonshiner’s Blues and some of Travelin’ Man downstage of the mics. I did what I could.

Candleman and I have been sitting on this recording for a few months because it was in the running to be an offical bootleg release. But, after seeing Bromberg last Wednesday and, thanks to Candleman, meeting with him after the show, it’s been decided to post it here instead. I’ve included a CD cover with original photos from the show.

Please don’t distribute for personnal gain or in any inferior formats, thanks.

Yet another part Of The Demon In Disguise Project. A BIG thanks to Candleman for the encouragement, inspiration, help, and music (And settin’ me up last Wednesday).
