Bob Dylan and The Band – Genuine Basement Tapes Vol. 4

Bob Dylan

Genuine Basement Tapes Vol. 4

Here is the info file from lilpanda, the guy who uploaded it to Dime:

I thought this deserves to be on the tracker. From what I understand, this material was slightly upgraded on something called a Tree with Roots. However, I don’t own it and I don’t see it here. The nice thing aboout this set was they kept the released stuff on volumes 2 and 3 so it’s easy to seed 3 sets.

I started with 4 cuz it’s my favorite, a great combination of silliness and serious folk covers. Hearing Bobby do See That My Gave is Kept Clean is a real pleasure. I bought the Columbia set in college in the 70’s when it came out, I had no idea what was on it. Me and my drinking buddies were totally taken by it–everything they said about the ‘organic’ nature of the music was so true. It really became one of my favorite Dylan lps, sound quibbles and ‘Robbie Robertson fraud charges’ (ie, many of the Band songs were not recorded in the time or at Pink) aside.

I hope someone put up an upgrade, I’d like to hear it. If not and there’s interest, I’ll seed the other volumes over time.

Wear it in good health.
