God Less America!
Widely rumored, but not officially released by Crypt, God Less America is one of the greatest, most memorable and intriguing compilations on the subject of what can only be considered strange basement country. Country music, especially that of the “classic” variety, has a bad reputation (or alternately, a good one) for just being a bunch of sappy tunes about their women that left them and the ol’ dog that died. Thankfully, this stuff on God Less America shows that it can be much, much more bleak, profane, and oddly comforting. Maybe it’ll even make you chuckle a little bit.
Do you like beer? Be careful, or you’ll end up in a dirty low-down bar for 2 months before you know it. Your hopes and dreams shattered, your life basically shit.
