NOTES:

A very nice AUD from Temple University show in August of ’74. (Once released as a vinyl boot called “Courting and Sparking in Pennsylvania”.) This is the same “Miles Of Aisles” band (and some of the same banter, by the way, you’ll notice). Recording is at least a B+, even by today’s standards: very clear Joni vocals, little audience ditraction noise, full concert including (most of the) tune-ups in betwen songs. All instruments can be heard well. On the other hand. the stereo separation is not great, dynamic range is compressed a bit, expected for a show of this era. However, I generally hate AUDs, and I like this one, for what that’s worth–very listenable, and a great period for Joni. I was only 7 in 1974, but I sure wish I’d seen one of these shows.

Enjoy,

–Doc (a.k.a. “Grumpy”)
