Info: Taken directly off the BBC transcription disc sent out to radio stations to broadcast. A pre-FM I suppose. Possible the best sounding Frank Black live show available. There are no interruptions/interjections on this recording – no DJ, no commercial breaks. As per usual, the BBC to an excellent job on the mixing etc. Two songs are missing off this recording – Old Black Dawning and Two Spaces. Oddly, both these tracks have been included on broadcast versions of the show. Implies there were multiple BBC Transcription discs.
My copy came as part of a very extensive (100+ cd’s) collection of Frank Black and Pixies recordings I have recently acquired from a long-time collector. Most of the Frank stuff has not seen much circulation, and I will endeavor to get through some/most of it in time.
