RE: cedar river trail
Good Morning, The website is out of date – we are working now to update all the pages on our website and hope to have this completed in the near future. The trail is paved from Renton to the SR-18 overpass in Maple Valley. WSDOT is doing construction there, so the trail is torn up under the new highway, but it is still possible. After that, it continues as a paved trail for about another 1/8 – 1/4 mile (?) through a tunnel and over a bridge at the Cedar River. The bridge is being renovated, and there was an ecology block placed so it couldn’t be driven, but you should be able to get a bike through. After the bridge, the trail is compact gravel. It has recently been graded from that point southeast to the junction with the Green R.-to-Cedar R. Trail. Past the junction it is existing compact gravel all the way to Landsburg

If you have additional questions, please contact the Trails coordinator, Robert Foxworthy at Robert.foxworthy@metrokc.gov.

As far as paving further east from Maple Valley. That is an ongoing project for us. It took several years to complete the current new extension to SR 18 because of funding and permit issues.

The web page says the trail is pave to Jones Road. Isn’t it actually paved further than that now? What are the prospects for continuing the paving further south?
