Odette And Jerry Take the Bus To Eastgate (and bike Home)
Odette has a co-worker who rides to downtown and takes the bus from there to work. She wanted to see if it was feasible for her to do the same. So on a drizzly Saturday morning we rode down Freemont and up Dexter to Fourth and Lenora where we caught the Number 554 bus for Issaquah.
It took a little longer than it should have to get there because Odette got confused on the Freemont Bridge, retreated to try again, and got caught when the bridge opened. She also got caught by every possible red light, but we were at her bus stop in just over half-an-hour.
The bus ride to the Eastgate Park & Ride was uneventful. We rode home via the I-90 bike trail and the Arboretum Bypass to the Burke Gillman. It took a little longer than it should have because Odette got a flat tire in Leschi.
We left home at a quarter to nine. We were back home at 12 fifteen. Next time I’d allow three hours.
