- Take the Burke Gilman from Blyth Park to 24th / Blakely at University Village
- Bear right just after 25th onto Blakely
- After two blocks, at the "T" intersection, go left on 55th and then immediately right onto Ravenna
- As Ravenna turns left up hill go straight into an alley which parallels the main road and also turns uphill
- The alley ends at 17th. Turn right and cross a pedestrian footbridge at 20th Ave. NE
- At the end of the bridge turn left onto 62nd
- Stay on 62nd until you hit Ravenna again (you kind of have to bear left for a short block on 15th.)
- Turn right and head for Green Lake
- Go on around Greenlake on Greenlake Drive and continue on Winona to Aurora
- Cross Aurora and continue on Winona as it curves south
- Turn hard right onto Linden and continue to 83rd (there is a stop light at 80th).
- Turn left on 83rd
- Turn left on First Avenue NW
